Sap n' Soda

I know I can't be the first one to have ever discovered this, but maple syrup makes a pretty tasty cocktail! I mean, I'd drink it straight out of the half-gallon jug with a straw too, but that is a little unsophisticated, don't you think?

My latest favorite is called "Sap n' Soda"...

One shot of maple syrup and one shot of vodka on ice, then fill the rest of your glass up with seltzer or club soda. Try it. You'll like it. I bet it's even good without the vodka if you want to skip that part.

Plus it has such a nice champagne-like bubbly caramel color. Yummmmm...

Ok, so i made this again tonight and actually MEASURED the ingredients... you only need like a teaspoon of syrup for the shot of vodka and then soda. A whole shot of syrup is WAY too sweeeeeeeeet!!!!

Sounds like everything is better with sap or syrup!

Yeah, that's all we've got going on up here this time of year! Otherwise it's watching piles of dirty snow melt...

Yum!!!

Good stuff, Carrie. Add a little lime and it'd be a lot like a caipiroshka (that's a Caipirinha made with vodka) but with a lovely maple taste, too.

Thanks for the recipe :)
