Stop Work Order!
There has been a slight change of plans in the sugarwoods, we hear. After we left VT yesterday it started snowing, and it snowed and snowed and snowed through all of that night and the next day, dumping a total of 30" of new snow on everything. The 5th largest storm on record in Vermont. Ever. Aiden and Grandma Sally spent the whole day inside watching it pile up, incredulous, while HaPa tried in vain to keep up with the accumulations on the driveway. When they all did venture outside, Timber and Aiden found that they couldn't even walk without a trail blazer ahead of them. The cars were buried, the snowmobile was nowhere to be found (somewhere under there but certainly not visible anymore) and most of the sugar buckets were completely covered too. Needless to say, even if it warms up later this week and the sap starts dripping, it's not gonna get collected until a good deal of this melts away!

WOW! Thirty inches on top of what was already there. How did they ever get out of the house? I'll bet Sally and Steve wish they'd never left Florida.
