Cousin Time

Jeni and Ciara came to visit us today and the cousins had a great playdate together. It was a hot one, so Aiden & Ciara squished and splashed into our miniscule kiddie pool (time for an upgrade, I think) and went through many of Aiden's toys in the garage. Only a few minor sharing issues... Aiden has some work to do in the coming years on learning how to share his own toys. He's fine at school, but those toys are not "his" which turns out to be a notable distinction. We ordered a pizza, ate popsicles and homemade chocolate chip cookies (baked by Ciara!) and made sock puppets inside when it got unbearably warm out. Jeni and I tried to chat in what few moments the kids would allow our attentions not to be entirely focused on them... but it was fun just to watch them playing so we didn't mind too much. Hopefully we can plan another visit after Aiden's sister arrives :)
